Walmart redesigning its annual bonus program so managers whose stores “hit all targets” could be eligible to receive up to 200% of their base salary as a bonus, Cedric Clark, executive vice president of store operations at Walmart US, wrote in a note to US store managers.

Walmart will end quarterly bonuses, as it raises hourly wages for store employees and other workers. A company spokeswoman confirmed Thursday that the big-box retailer is eliminating the additional pay on Jan. 31, 2022, and rolling it into its workers' base pay.

If a store manager hits both the store's sales and profit targets, the manager's annual bonus could be as much as 200% of their base salary. For a store manager making $128,000 per year, that means their bonus could reach as much as $256,000. As CNN reported, the new raises kick in on February 1.
